International guest teacher · Voice, yoga and somatic practice

Hi, I’m Francie

I’m a voice and somatic teacher, a musician, and a yoga teacher of fifteen years. I’m home-based at The Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bali, and I love getting out and connecting with people around the world.

What I do is help people relax into sound, take up space, and reconnect with the voice that is already theirs. It goes deep, it is a lot more fun than people expect, and nobody needs to be able to sing.

If your community would enjoy that, I would love to come and share it with them.

What I can bring you

I am an international guest teacher running heart opening, voice opening workshops. As one student put it after her first one, “you just crack open a little bit.” Everything below is open to everyone, all genders, all ages, and nobody needs to be able to sing. Humming counts.

Three threads of the same work. Pick whichever slot you have and I will bring the right one.

  • Francie leading a vocal activation class

    Vocal Activation

    60 to 75 min

The class I teach weekly at The Yoga Barn. Breath, gentle movement and sound, opening the jaw, throat and ribs, then singing together. People arrive tight and leave lighter.

  • Francie singing

    Sing Your Heart Open

    60 to 90 min

A softer, song led way in. We learn simple mantras and heart songs together, with harmony that anyone can find. Lovely as a first taste for a room that is shy.

  • Francie in a yoga posture

    Pure Flow Yoga

    60 to 90 min

Vinyasa, hatha or yin, whichever suits your schedule. Meditation, pranayama, poetry and devotional music woven through. Two full length classes are just below.

Workshop2 to 3 hoursA ticketed afternoon or evening
  • A circle of participants at an Awaken Your Voice workshop

    Awaken Your Voice

    2 to 3 hours

Embody, empower, express. Long enough to go past the first opening into what is actually underneath it, and still finish in one evening.

  • A singing circle led by Francie

    Somatic Voice

    90 min to 3 hours

You know the voice that shows up in the shower, the one that is not worried about who is listening? That is the one we are here for. We work with the held breath, the apology before speaking, the worry about sounding good, and then we sing anyway.

ExperienceAn evening or a full dayYour headline event
  • Francie leading kirtan on stage in Bali

    HeartSong Experience

    An evening, about 2 hours

Concert and singing circle in one. Mantra and medicine music from around the world, live, with call and response simple enough that anyone joins in. The easiest room to fill, because nobody has to be brave to belong in it.

  • Francie outdoors with her guitar

    Foundations of Flow

A full day, or a mini retreat

Yoga, meditation and pranayama, opening into an introduction to sound, somatic work and self expression. The whole method in a day, gently.

  • Francie holding space in a circle

Awaken Your Voice & Sound Healing

    A full day

The big one. The full voice journey in the morning, a long sound bath to land it in the afternoon. This is the day people talk about afterwards.

The practical bits

What I need from you

  • A room where people can be loud without worrying
  • Space to lie down, one mat each
  • A whiteboard or flip chart if you have one
  • Somewhere to set a small mandala at the front
  • I travel with my own instruments where I can

One scheduling note from experience: these rooms get genuinely loud, so it is worth not putting a yin or restorative class next door at the same time.

Who it is for

  • Anyone and everyone, all genders welcome
  • No singing experience needed at all
  • People who feel blocked, tight, or unheard
  • Teachers and facilitators wanting their own practice
  • Trained singers undoing the pressure to be perfect

I will send you contraindications and a short intake note for your registration page.

Shall we find a date?

Tell me which offering suits your room and roughly when, and I will work around you. On the money side I am easy, revenue share, a flat fee, or a mix of the two, whatever matches how you normally run guest teachers. Let’s talk it through and find something that works beautifully for us both.
