A song carrier
Seven songs, recorded in 2017.
Francie La Flow · recorded 2017
Seven mantras and heartsongs, among them Om Namah Shivaya, Lokah Samasta and Agua de Estrellas.
I think of myself as a song carrier. These are mantras and heartsongs that were handed to me and asked to be sung, and my work is to carry them well and pass them on still warm. A love project of expression, creation, devotion and blossoming.

How I got here
I grew up wanting to be a singer. I was a musical theatre kid, and I was lucky enough to learn the art of harmonising young, which is where I first found the sheer joy of singing with other people.
Then my teenage years arrived and it all went quiet. I stayed close to music from the outside, an avid listener and a constant concert goer, working with festivals like POP Montreal and deep in music and cultural events while I studied psychology.
In 2010 I moved to Bali and landed in a hippy community that turned out to be my soul family, and my on and off home for sixteen years now. That's where I fell in love properly. I picked up the guitar, started singing again, and began weaving music and mantra through my yoga teaching and then through my retreats.
Being so involved with the Bali Spirit Festival, I met musicians from all over the world and got to learn from people who'd been my idols and my influences for years.
Finding my voice and learning to trust it has been a long journey, and it's still going. It's what I've devoted myself to helping other people do, and it's the road I'm still walking myself, all the way to being fully expressed.
Music is like food. When you need it you don't have to explain why, because it is basic to life. Ali Akbar Khan
What's coming
A new album is underway, seven songs. Some are my own, words and melodies that arrived through me rather than to me. The rest are mantras and heartsongs I've carried for years and want to set down properly.
Each track costs around $1,000 to record, produce and master.
So it comes together one song at a time, as it can. Everything here stays free to listen to. If you'd like to help a song exist, choose whatever feels right.
Every single contribution goes straight into the next track. Whatever you give, and whenever you give it, it genuinely moves this forward.
Seven songs. One at a time. However it comes.
A hundred and eight is a full mala, one bead for every turn of the breath. It is also roughly a tenth of a song, which is a real and lovely thing to have done.
The album the day it lands, and your name on the supporters wall.

Any amount at all. It all goes into the same seven songs.
If a song has ever met you somewhere, tell me. I read every one, and they go up here for everyone to find.
You can also find me on SoundCloud and Bandcamp.
Every one of these songs exists because someone somewhere decided it was worth hearing. That is not a small thing and I do not take it lightly.
Whether you give nothing and just listen, or you help a whole track into the world, you are part of how this music gets made. The listening is the point. The rest is a gift.
I'll sing your name into the studio. Quietly, but I will.
With so much love, Francie
