Seven mantras and heartsongs, among them Om Namah Shivaya, Lokah Samasta and Agua de Estrellas.

I think of myself as a song carrier. These are mantras and heartsongs that were handed to me and asked to be sung, and my work is to carry them well and pass them on still warm. A love project of expression, creation, devotion and blossoming.

Or buy it on Bandcamp to keep it.

How I got here

The long way back to singing

For years now I’ve been leading and holding kirtans, women’s circles, song circles, vocal activation classes, sound healings and cacao ceremonies, alongside my own concerts and recordings.

I grew up wanting to be a singer. I was a musical theatre kid, and I was lucky enough to learn the art of harmonising young, which is where I first found the sheer joy of singing with other people.

Then my teenage years arrived and it all went quiet. I stayed close to music from the outside, an avid listener and a constant concert goer, working with festivals like POP Montreal and deep in music and cultural events while I studied psychology.

In 2010 I moved to Bali and landed in a hippy community that turned out to be my soul family, and my on and off home for sixteen years now. That's where I fell in love properly. I picked up the guitar, started singing again, and began weaving music and mantra through my yoga teaching and then through my retreats.

Being so involved with the BaliSpirit Festival, I met musicians from all over the world and got to learn from people who'd been my idols and my influences for years.

Somewhere in there, people started asking me to play. I've had the joy of performing my own sets at the BaliSpirit Festival, at The Yoga Barn here in Ubud, at the Alegria Festival at the Dragon Tea Temple, at the Pachamama Festival, at the Kumbhaka Experience in Guatemala, and at the Wellness Festa in Korea. I've also sung backing vocals on other people's albums, with Lindsey Wise, Mel Dobra and Kevin James to name a few. That's its own kind of gift… standing in a studio holding harmony underneath someone else's song.

Finding my voice and learning to trust it has been a long journey, and it's still going. It's what I've devoted myself to helping other people do, and it's the road I'm still walking myself, all the way to being fully expressed.

What's coming

I'm finally recording again

A new album is underway, seven songs. Some are my own, words and melodies that arrived through me rather than to me. The rest are mantras and heartsongs I've carried for years and want to set down properly.

This record is happening. What I would love is to not make it alone.

Each track costs around $1,000 to record, produce and master.

Thank you, genuinely

Every one of these songs exists because someone somewhere decided it was worth hearing. That is not a small thing and I do not take it lightly.

Whether you give nothing and just listen, or you help a whole track into the world, you are part of how this music gets made. The listening is the point. The rest is a gift.

I am so deeply grateful for your presence, your support and your encouragement. It carries further than you know.

See everyone helping this album into the world
